India House
Youth Taped Ball Cricket Clinic

Open to Children Ages 9 through 13

India House is hosting a Cricket Clinic for Kids ages 9 through 13. It is our goal to instill a love for the great game of Cricket in the next generation of Houstonians.
When will the clinic sessions be held?
We are conducting one session per week. Due to the availability of the ground, we are meeting on alternate Fridays from 6pm to 8pm starting August 27th. On the weeks we do not have a Friday session, we'll have a Sunday morning session from 10am to 12pm.

Who will provide the coaching for this clinic?
Coaching will be provided by players from the local cricket leagues.
What topics will be covered during this clinic?
We plan to teach participants about the rules and etiquette of cricket, as well as providing instruction on batting, bowling, and fielding. We believe it's important for kids to understand and appreciate the history and meaning of the game.
Why will the clinic be conducted using a taped cricket ball?
The taped ball is softer and less likely to cause injury than the standard hard cricket ball. Using it, we are able to play cricket and enjoy the essence of the game without wearing a helmet, pads, and other protective equipment.
